Here is the scoop on the November 11th Class:

Here is an update on the dates for class and some other information. Small change to the Cody trip before Thanksgiving.
The key is to keep repeating the questions and making flashcards. I’ll guide you on the flash card things, but this is most useful for the rules, which is the hardest test. You must pass each test with a 70% except the Rules test you must pass with a 90%. You’ll have three chances to pass each module. Each subject have the following number of multiple choice questions on the each test:

1. Navigation and piloting 20 questions
2. Charting 10 questions
3. Rules of the Road 30 questions
4. Deck General 70 questions

Here is the class schedule which runs from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. by interactive class on the internet:

I will be sending you a chart and a Rules book by mail. You will need to get on Amazon and order your charting tools, including a divider and parallels if you want to start that earlier than when I see you in Cody. If you wait for your time in Cody, I’ll provide you with these tools. For the overnights in Cody (charting portion and maybe test retakes), I you might want to check with Big Bear Motel at (307) 587-3117. Send me your mailing address and I’ll get that in the mail to you. Some of you have already paid and the last materials will go out this week. We accept credit cards and checks. Checks should be mailed to Zenith Maritime – Western Region, 515 Rd. 2AB, Cody, Wyoming 82414. You can call me at 307-899-1401.

I’ll send you the login info for the class when we get closer to the start date. Cheers, Capt. Mark
